Khan Academy
If you like BrainPop, you should also check out Khan Academy. Aimed at older children and adults, Khan Academy contains a complete library of over 4,200 videos. You can watch them all for free.
McGuffey Phonics and Reading
With over 52 hours of lessons, McGuffey Phonics and Reading is a complete phonics and reading curriculum for beginners. It introduces letter sounds to reading complete stories following the time honored McGuffey reading method.
