The boys were invited for a play date at The Club @ Bukit Utama recently and I eagerly accepted just to get them out of the house to wear them out a little. Truth be told, it was G2 that I wanted to wear out more than G1. Since returning from our trip south, he has added a string of other items to the list of things he has broken in our house because he was bored – my bed headboard, a remote control, and a recorder, among other things. The hope was that if he could burn up some of that restless energy outside the house, he might be a little more docile inside the house.
The pool at The Club@Bukit Utama is lovely. They have a water playground and a water slide – two hits on any child’s fun list – but after playing at Legoland Water Park, I wondered if they might feel underwhelmed by it all. It turns out, I should not have been worried at all. We adults, it would seem, over-complicate things. All a child really needs to have fun is, well, water. Anything more than that is a bonus really. They were at it for 2 hours and would have stayed longer if I hadn’t dragged them off for lunch…
