G1 is my creative boy. Every now and then, he’ll ask to make random stuff… Recently, he wanted to make a pluff. What’s a pluff, you ask? Here they are:
Materials:
- Wool or embroidery floss
- A tube (3-4cm in diameter) – we used a Tiger Balm jar
- scissors
- googly eyes
- sticky felt for decorating
- glue (optional – if you can’t find self-adhesive felt or googly eyes)
Method:
If you’re using embroidery floss, you will need 5 lots of embroidery floss.
Unravel the embroidery floss and wind it around the tube. When you get to the end of the floss, just knot it to the next one and continue until you reach the end of the last floss.
Leave a length of floss for tying and remove the rest of it from the tube. Wind the lose end around the center of your floss bundle and knot it.
Cut the looped ends and decorate the face with googly eyes and sticky felt. And there’s your pluff…
Yeah… it’s really just a pom pom with a face.
