We are firm believers in the importance of the preschool years because they provide the vital foundation for a child’s future learning, therefore the selection of a preschool must be undertaken with as much care and attention as you would for the later years of your child’s education. We occasionally receive requests from parents for preschool recommendations so I would like to share the details of another preschool that I believe offers a terrific foundation for children in their early years.
TweedleWink Play House was the school I had originally intended for my son if I hadn’t accidentally discovered Trinity Kids. When G2 was younger, he attended the TweedleWink weekly enrichment classes and I met Wennie Sun, co-founder of TweedleWink by Right Brain Kids. She is another mother passionate about early childhood education and absolutely dedicated to the wholesome education and development of our children.
About TweedleWink Play House
“Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.” – Maria Montessori
Inspired by Dr Maria Montessori, the TweedleWink Play House is designed to enrich the heart, mind, body and inner spirit of children through a perfect blend of Montessori-inspired learning combined with right brain sponge-like learning techniques (Right Brain Education).
The goal of Tweedlewink Play House is to give every child a wonderful start in life by maximising and strengthening the child’s love for learning, overall sense of confidence and well-being. The TweedleWink curriculum offers a balanced focus on developing both IQ and EQ.
Open to children ages 3 to 6, the TweedleWink right-brain immersion program includes:
- right-brain sponge-like learning techniques
- Montessori-inspired left-brain academics
- beautifully creative, cutting-edge materials
- team-building, social skills and respect
- independent, intuitive exploration
- a well-designed environment
- loving relationships
- purposeful play
… all in an atmosphere of love and respect.
The TweedleWink Program
The TweedleWink Preschool Program uses a heart-based philosophy to teach children. It aims to develop the whole brain by nurturing both right and left sides of the brain together using 12 special techniques:
The Tweedlewink curriculum covers a wide variety of topics because they believe children can learn anything. The curriculum is broken down into six areas:
1. Language Arts
- right-brain reading skills
- vocabulary boosters
- writing practice
- right-brain math
- numeric patterns
- right-brain equation play
3. Science and World Cultures
- science experiments
- science crafts
- magic carpet rides
- world language exposure
4. Art and Music
- world composers & artists
- classical music
- instrument play
- fine art awareness
5. Right Brain Enrichment
- alpha-wave relaxation
- eye exercises
- memory play
- speed reading play
6. Movement – Children need to move to learn. TweedleWink Play House supports this with activities that help children tone their muscles and develop their balance:
- circle line play
- yoga ball exercises
- team-building games

TweedleWink also encourages parents to support their children’s learning with take-home activities based on the lessons from school. These are shared regularly on the TweedleWink Facebook page. The follow resources were for their lesson on biomes:
This week we learn all about biomes. Biomes are regions of the world with similar climate (weather, temperature), plants and animals. There are terrestrial biomes (land) and aquatic biomes, both freshwater and marine.

For Your Child’s LEFT BRAIN… Great website for kids: Kids Do Ecology
- Take a walk or a drive to see natural biomes, or aquariums, in your area.
- Create a “biome box” or play mat and fill with toy plant and animal figurines.
(Encourage your child to play with it!)
- Draw a picture of your favorite biome.
(Moms and Dads can draw one, too!)
Optimum Learning Environment
TweedleWink Play House places a lot of importance on the learning environment because they believe that children are much more sensitive to their environment and may react positively or negatively to nuances that adults don’t notice.
Each classroom is designed with attention to textiles, climate, wall decor, colors, lighting, fresh air, music and plants.
Each day begins with positive affirmations to attend to the thoughts and feelings of each child.

Testimonials from Parents
Lauren was 12 months old when she started TweedleWink. It was an easy decision for me since the selection was solely based on convenience (TweedleWink is within walking distance from my house). Little did I know that it turned out to be the best thing I could’ve done for Lauren during her tender years. I started with zero knowledge on right brain learning, but as Lauren was attending classes I, as a parent, benefited just as much. By being with Lauren in the class, speaking to the teachers, attending TweedleWink’s parenting workshops, I began to appreciate and embrace a new way to bring up my little girl. Lauren loved to go to TweedleWink classes, it was fun for her. Looking on from the side, I knew she was learning and absorbing information effortlessly. She would relate a subject taught in a lesson to other random encounters, months later, when I clearly remembered she didn’t appear to have paid much attention during that particular lesson in class. She would point out flags and identify the countries and count from 1 to 10 in a foreign language happily. The list goes on. I thank the TweedleWink team for making learning fun and joyous for Lauren, especially Teacher Marie, Lauren’s beloved teacher who has shown her endless love, kindness and patience. Lastly I would like to thank Wennie, who has put together such a wonderful program and made it available in Malaysia. I would strongly recommend families with young children to take advantage of this and start charting your children’s development with love.
TweedleWink is a like a family to us. The teachers give so much love for Danish and all the children. My son Danish gained so much confidence and enjoyed learning because teachers in TweedleWink give so much effort in making the class fun for them! Even me as a parent inside the class is learning a lot too because their lessons are very rich ( from vocabulary, to science, to different world languages) and it is such a big bonus for me! What I love most about TweedleWink is the use of positive discipline and kind words in guiding the children. I would give 5 stars to TweedleWink and very highly recommend it to my family and friends!
My son, Muhammad is in love with TweedleWink! Eventhough he is tired sometimes, but when I say “ Time to go to TweedleWink!” He would jump out of his feet and would happily get ready while humming a song! He loves Smiley Stories and as a Mom, I feel so happy because Smiley Stories (exclusive from TweedleWink) teaches my son good values and good manners. His vocabulary has improved a lot! I adore all the teachers in TweedleWink. They are so caring and I feel safe leaving my son in the class while I relax outside. I am very thankful I found TweedleWink. Five stars!
