Here is something else we did last week…
Gavin’s Kai Ma (godmother) bought him a Foam Zone Mini 3D kit from Art Friend (The Gardens, Midvalley) recently. Naturally, she bought him the train kit (although I know they are available in other shapes).
Here are all the materials in place ready and waiting for assembly.
Intended for ages 8 and up, it was quite evident that someone would need to help Gavin fix his latest project. Not wanting to handle the glue gun, I twisted my SIL2’s arm and got her to “help” her nephew make his foam train. I think it was a good thing my SIL2 made the train instead of me because I don’t think it would have turned out quite as nicely if I had made it. She even modified the model so that the wheels could turn!
My SIL2 made most of the train and got Gavin to help attach the final piece of the puzzle. Here is Gavin proudly showing off his new train.
Here’s a closer look at the train:
And Gavin playing with his new train.
Thanks Kai Ma!
I’m not sure how much it costs, but you can get it from Art Friend in The Gardens, Midvalley. Although he didn’t spend a lot of time putting it together, he did derive some great playing time out of the finished product. How long it will last, however, depends on how well the glue holds it together. I’ve already spied Gavin attempting to pull it apart…
